Tokyo 2020 Accessibility Guidelines
The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games aims to ensure the Tokyo 2020 Games are accessible and inclusive for all, regardless of whether one has a physical impairment or not. The Tokyo 2020 Accessibility Guidelines have been devised with the assistance of associated Government agencies, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, local public bodies, organisations for people with physical impairments and others, and has been recognized by the International Paralympic Committee.
The guidelines cover topics such as the areas at Games venues which require extra consideration from an accessibility standpoint, the provision of accessible routes to the venues, means of transport, standards to ensure that communications from the Organising Committee and signage are accessible, training to welcome the Games officials, and more.
