Announcements on set routes for spectators' entrance and exit

For local residents, and business and school commuters, around competition venues

・We assume that spectator transport routes (such as set routes for spectators' entrance&exit, and train stations likely to be used by most
spectators) as advised by this visitor guidance flyer are going to get crowded with more people than usual, around the scheduled competition
time,
due to a surge of spectators and others.
・Vehicles entering and leaving may face some difficulties, depending on times.
・To ensure safety, make your way as guided by the security staff when you pass through. You may be asked to get off a bicycle at peak times, and also be asked to bypass congestion. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.
Do not leave bicycles, and name boards or the like, outside on roadsides, i.e. on walkways, because they may block the passage of
pedestrians.
・Note that some of city bus services will be suspended during the Games.
・When you take out household garbage or trade and commercial waste during the Games, please keep in mind that you are expected to be
punctual, reduce the amount of waste, and take it out at once.

For all visitors who are welcome to attend as spectators

For entrance and exit, walk from train stations to competition venues.
No parking lot, or berth, for cars and bicycles is available to visiting spectators at venues. So you are asked not to use vehicles, such as your own
cars, bicycles, and taxis, to visit and leave venues.
・To contribute to the leveling at peak times, we will ask you to make arrangements, including early visiting, minimising luggage, leaving venues as guided, and so on.
Use public transport IC cards, after charging them in advance, when you travel by public transport.
・Bring back your own trash to contribute to keeping local communities beautiful.
Please keep quiet so as not to trouble neighboring residents as you leave.
・Flying drones will be prohibited by law over and around competition venues.

[COVID-19 preventive measures (for individual visitors)]

・Wear a mask. At intersections, etc., in particular, where people tend to crowd together, keep your distance from others, wearing a mask, when you
stand in line as guided by the staff.
・Maintain a physical distance to the extent that does not interrupt a smooth passage of people.
・To prevent heatstroke, you may take off your mask if you can keep enough distance (about 2 m) from others. (If not, keep wearing a mask.) Avoid those activities involving a high risk of infection, such as talking loudly with a mask off and exchanging a high-five.
・Wash, or disinfect, your hands and fingers frequently when you touch those areas contacted by many people.
・Please tell the staff around you if and when you feel sick. Even after you feel better, take it easy for a while.

[Preventive measures against heatstroke]

Even when you are going to enter an indoor competition venue, you may have to be waiting in line outdoors for security check or luggage inspection. So we suggest that you will take some measures against the heat, including: wearing a hat or cap; applying sunscreen; bringing your own parasol/umbrella (you can take in only fold-up umbrellas but cannot use them at spectators' seats); carrying your own water bottle, and so on.
